At the same time Seneca was preparing its first graduating class to embark on the next phase of their life journeys, Constance Cameron was directing her student staff of reporters for the new Sentinel school newspaper. Originally a mimeographed and hand stapled paper called “The Leaky Pen”, the Sentinel became a professionally composed and printed paper released numerous times throughout the year. Similar to the yearbook staff, students gained experience in reporting, writing news stories and editorials, photography, and layout/printing. However, what set this apart from the yearbook is how they published the paper several times per year and were constantly gathering interesting information to report. This proud tradition continues today and you can now check out the latest issue of The Sentinel by clicking the links below!
